Iris Turbutt
The October Management Committee meeting began with a minute silence in memory of Iris Turbutt who sadly passed away in September 2013. Iris will be greatly missed by all those who knew her, but particularly by members of the Village Hall Management Committee.
Iris had been an active member of the committee since March 2000. She will be remembered for her invaluable help with catering at Village Hall functions, for her involvement with arrangements for ‘Shindig/Live & Local’ events held at Trimpley, and her willingness to help with whatever needed doing.
Mary Heath
Committee members were also informed of the death of Mary Heath, aged 85. Mary had served on the Management Committee between 1980 and 1992, as a representative of Trimpley W I.

The Bookends Greatest Hits Show
“Simon & Garfunkel Live” held in June (pictured above) was a resounding success. The show delighted the audience with a variety of Simon & Garfunkel songs – some performed by Dan and Pete – quiet and gentle – and other songs performed with the entire band – loud and lively. Everyone agreed they had the balance just right for a really entertaining show.
If you get the opportunity to see and hear Bookends, be sure to take it –
They are a must see musical experience.
