On Saturday 14th December 2013 our Christmas Event was a repeat of the very successful “Wine or No Wine” game from previous years. Again this year the room was full to capacity with enthusiastic locals egging on the contestants in their attempts to win bottles of wine. Half way through the evening a cold buffet was served, followed by mince pies. The raffle was drawn and then proceedings began again, following the format of the well known TV programme – “Deal or No Deal” – but with wine as the prize rather than cash.
The evening was enjoyed by everyone and raised a healthy sum of money towards the Village Hall funds. Thanks must go to Paul Wright and his team for organising and hosting the game.
